Why we exist.
We started Ciralgo in Amsterdam because the story we kept hearing from CTOs, DPOs, and heads of AI was the same one. Their teams were shipping AI faster than legal, finance, or security could keep up. Someone needed to sit between application code and the LLM providers, quietly enforcing the rules that make regulated AI defensible. That someone is Ciralgo.

FounderMats built Ciralgo after seeing regulated European organisations try to adopt AI with tools designed for a US legal reality. He works on the boundary between what engineers want to ship and what compliance officers need to prove.

How we work
Three constraints we hold ourselves to.
Compliance is a feature.
The EU AI Act is not a paperwork exercise. Every log line, every routing decision, every retention window in Ciralgo is designed to be quotable in a Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 audit response.
Ship the smallest thing.
A rough version of the right thing beats a polished version of the wrong thing. We would rather answer a real customer question next Tuesday than debate one for a month.
Explain it to the auditor.
If we cannot explain a decision in the product to an external auditor without hand-waving, we do not ship it. That constraint keeps the platform honest.
